The best growth lives where emotion & evidence stop competing.

What most companies call a growth problem is usually a translation problem in disguise. Brand, data, technology, the teams, the business itself — all chasing growth in different languages. I'm the one who connects them: a single mind across every facet, reading the dots no one else can and drawing them into a disproportionate share of a market that won't sit still.

Most of the growth you're after is already in the building — stranded in the gaps between your teams, your tools, and your data. Connecting them is the whole job. It's mine.

More than 30 years across every facet of the marketing ecosystem — brand and creative, data and technology, B2B and B2C. Built at Grey, Acxiom, Wunderman & VML · in service of IBM, Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle & more

POINT OF VIEW

The most emotional purchase in business is a B2B purchase.

At any moment, about 95% of your buyers aren't buying. You don't win them with a better dashboard. You win them by being the name they already trust before they need you. And when they do buy, they're managing fear, not comparing spec sheets. Nobody gets fired for the safe choice, or the feeling of safety in the product. Modern growth doesn't need more data or more creative. It needs someone who speaks both. Which, after thirty years on both sides of that line, is the whole job.

Before anyone called it CRM, we built it for 20,000 agents.

National scale and local relevance in the same system — three decades before that became the industry's favorite phrase.

Turned 35 agencies into one B2B brain.

Founded and led the global WPP B2B Community, bringing more than 500 B2B leaders across 35 agencies into a much more shared best practice — and set it to work on sales growth.

A network that stopped competing with itself and started compounding.

Background

I've led at the intersection of brand and data for more than 30 years. Managing Partner at Grey San Francisco, where I launched its B2B Center of Excellence. VP of Acxiom's global agency. President & COO of Wunderman Thompson Data. Most recently President of VML's B2B Practice, leading the WPP Global B2B Council of 35 agencies.

The rare part isn't the résumé. It's that I speak every language in the building — the creative director's and the data scientist's, the technologist's and the CMO's and the CEO's — and I'm genuinely at home in each. I like these people, and I'm curious about what every one of them is trying to build. Usually I can see the thing they share before they can: the same growth, wanted in different dialects. My work is to help them feel it too — and to show them where, and how, to row in the same direction.

Tell me the problem.

Weighing a full-time hire against the right operator for a season? Or you just need brand and data speaking to each other again? That's the conversation I like to have. No pitch — just the problem.
